Marketplace vs notary
SellBuy Autos connects buyers and sellers but does not process payments or provide legal services. The transfer happens directly between you under the rules of the country where you meet.
Before meeting
- Verify VIN matches registration.
- Agree price, currency, and payment method (bank transfer at meeting is common).
- Confirm whether plates stay Ukrainian or buyer will export/re-register.
At meeting
- Inspect car and documents together.
- Sign a written sales contract (two copies).
- Transfer keys, service book, spare keys.
- Complete payment — avoid remote deposits to strangers.
- Notify insurer if policy must change.
After sale
Remove listing from SellBuy Autos and archive chat for your records.
Does SellBuy Autos hold escrow?
No. Payment is arranged directly between buyer and seller.
